At Carr, we only use the highest grade tonewoods we can get our hands on.

 

We go to great lengths to ensure the quality and integrity of our body and neck woods are up to our highest standards.

 

They usually require only two things, a beautiful grain structure and musical resonance.

We ask our luthiers to hand test every wood blank we use to ensure that it has these two crucial features.

Whilst a pretty grain isn't everything to everyone, musical resonance goes without question.

We do not stock specially exotic woods and so if you have a specific tonewood that you can not find on our site, we are more than happy to order what is required for your project.
