Micawber

The guitar that defined rock and roll...

'Micawber' is probably one of Keith’s most famous guitars, a 1953 Fender Telecaster Blonde.

Named after a Charles Dickens character, no one is exactly sure why, Keith has owned this guitar since Exile On Main St. It is kept in open G tuning (G,D,G,B,D) low to high with no capo, and of course has the famous 5 strings with the 6th string removed.

Micawber has a few of Richard's unique nuances thrown into each aspect of the guitar, from the reversed neck PAF to the strat style switch knob and the missing 6th string, our recreation of this rock legend is a wonderful thing.

With its fat & chunky '53 neck those classic rock tones are its quinessential  sound structure.

Through our extensive research of the Blackguard Teles we are proud to finally offer the highly sought after 'Tadeo Gomez' taper neck and true Blackguard bodies as well as our '54 tele neck and body for those who do not require absolute authenticity.
